  • This is our first visit to Uzbekistan, but impressions of the first days have surpassed all our expectations. True discovery became the city of Tashkent, bosomed in trees, its shady streets, parks and gardens. We enjoyed architectural monuments and museum collections. We were absolutely captivated by amicability and hospitality of your people.

A high level of your artists skills have assured again that expected in this autumn exhibition of Uzbekistan art works in the capital of France must be successful. Acquaintance with your traditional and modern art will allow the Parisians to know better the soul of Uzbek people, and your country will become closer to our hearts.

Thus, our mutual efforts will become the next step on a way of revival of centuries-old traditions of friendship and cooperation, occurred in days of the Great Silk Road. Uzbekistan being in the heart of this legendary transcontinental caravan course always played an important role of a bridge between civilizations of the East and West.

The guests pointed out that cultural contacts will promote not only mutual understanding between people, but also stability on our planet.
Finalizing the meeting, the guests gave to the Academy of Arts eighteen artistically done lithographic copies of Salvador Dali's works.
